Anthem
Well
it was 1994 and the boys were thinkin’ bout hittin’ the links,
They
decided to play by the lighthouse, figurin’ they could avoid a
jinx,
But
then the breeze had to kick in, the sand started whippin, the boys
couldn’t see the flags,
They
had to figure a way, to save the day, so they decided to look in
their bags,
And
just by chance they happened to have, hats for them all to wear,
They
put them on to keep things under control.
Wear them only if you dare, Flaps
Down. |
So
the boys got to thinking that the music they were making out to
have a name of its own,
There
was this name & that name & lots of ideas, but not one
seemed to stand out alone,
Just
then the medicine was flowing, the minds started going, a name
arose above them all,
It
had a certain ring, it made you want to sing, it made you want to
step away from the wall,
And
right then and there a decision was made, for on that day a name
was born,
It
gave a name to the band, a name to remember, a name that tells how
their hats are worn, Flaps
Down. |

From
the Taste to the Baystate, First Night to the Cat, the band was
really getting around,
Playing
their music for the people who learned to really enjoy their
sound,
They
couldn’t take it slow, cause they didn’t know, if a call
they’d ever get,
To
be rock and roll stars, in bigtime bars, a chance no one surely
would bet,
So
the best thing to do is sit tight and wait, until that call is
made one day,
Until
that time the best thing to do, is just sit back and listen and
hear them play, Flaps
Down. |
